Does UCLA Lead For Langford

Kevin Langford, the 6-foot-9, 225-pound power forward from North Crowley High School in Forth Worth, TX., was hoping to be finished with the recruiting process by now, but that isn’t the case. After receiving a great deal of interest from Stanford and Virginia, both programs took commitments from other players, so Langford was forced to look elsewhere. He recently returned from an official visit to UCLA and will likely visit California in the spring.
“Yes, I took an official visit to UCLA at the beginning of November. I think it was during the weekend of November the 11th,” Langford said. “It was a nice visit and I really had a good time. The UCLA coaching staff has not offered me a scholarship yet, but Coach Howland said he wants to watch me play a few games this year before he officially offers me.”

Langford indicated that UCLA is currently leading for his services, but he also stated that his opinion could change once his visit to California is complete.
“I would say that UCLA is the leader right now, but that’s because I haven’t visited California yet,” Langford said. “They want me to come out in the spring, so my mom and I will probably do that. I think the visit to UCLA will be tough to beat, but I’ll see what happens during my visit to California.”
