Does Deng Have Decision Already

Luol Deng, RivalsHoops.com's second rated player in the 2003 class, finished up his official visit to Duke this past weekend. "He enjoyed it," said Blair Academy head coach, Joe Mantegna. "It's going to be a difficult decision for him. I think he will announce it next Tuesday (November 5th)."
Mantegna said Deng will choose between Duke, Virginia, Missouri, and Indiana. "Luol has not called any coach with a decision," Mantegna said. "Luol's dad is coming into the country this week and we will sit down with him. Luol wants to talk to him before he makes his decision."

A source close to Deng told us that Luol already has a decision. But his father is a big part of the process too and Luol is very close with his family.
Deng has already visited Missouri, Virginia, and Indiana too. Each time after his official visits, Deng has said plenty of positive words about the schools. So this is a tough race to call.
Mantegna plans on using Deng, during certain times in game situations, at the point guard slot. Mantegna's confidence in Deng's ability to handle such a responsible role is why many other college coaches would love to have Luol on their team. Deng can fill in at all five positions. He is big, agile, skilled and strong enough to move from position to position and be a very effective player no matter where he plays on the floor. He is a dream recruit.
