"Ever since I left my last visit to Missouri, I've been wondering to myself 'why haven't I already committed to them," said Dixon. "It's close to home and is a good school. Mike Anderson is a good coach, and there are good players there who I can play well with. It's just a great fit for me."
A heady ball player with a solid skill set, Dixon will be counted upon to guide the fast moving Missouri attack from the point guard position.
"Coach says I'm a true point guard," he said. "They want me to run the point and make good decisions. One thing I'm able to do is to know when to really push things and when to pull back a little."
Dixon, the No. 100 ranked prospect in the Rivals150, is the first 2009 commitment for Missouri.
Michael Dixon scouting report:
A heady point guard, Dixon is crafty and precise with the basketball. Adept at getting into the midrange, he scores with a reliable pull up jumper and can find shooters. Not an overly athletic player, Dixon, however, does a nice job controlling the ball on defense.
