Dixon taking visits

Certain point guards have a feel for their position and a knack for leading their team. 2009 four-star prospect Michael Dixon fits this mold. Presently, Dixon, 6-foot, 165-pounds from Kansas City (Mo.) Lee's Summit High School is visiting several schools before narrowing his school list.
Having already visited Kansas State in September, Dixon spent some time on what is becoming a familiar Missouri campus last weekend.

"The visit was pretty fun," said Dixon. "I had fun being with the players. Since I've been to Missouri several times already, I'm becoming a lot more comfortable playing and talking with the players."
This weekend Dixon will take in Midnight Madness festivities at Kansas, and then in November, he is scheduled to visit California for its football game against USC.
A host of other schools are also recruiting Dixon. At the moment, he has offers from Kansas State, Missouri, Miami, Purdue, Baylor, Oklahoma, Iowa and is expecting an offer from California on his visit. Besides Kansas, Oregon, Ohio State, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Marquette and Duke are showing interest in him.
Dixon is expected to narrow his list in the near future.
"Pretty soon, like in the next couple weeks, I'll sit down with my dad and trim down my list," he said. "My relationship with the coach is important, and I'd like to go to a school with an energized fan base. Playing at a basketball school, like say a Kansas or Kentucky type school, would be fun. I love to play in front of a crowd."
Michael Dixon scouting report:
A heady point guard, Dixon is crafty and precise with the basketball. Adept at getting into the midrange, he scores with a reliable pull up jumper and can find shooters. Not an overly athletic player, Dixon does have room for improvement defensively.
