Did Augustus commit to Hogs

Arkansas won't be landing its second basketball commitment from the class of 2007 as expected today.
Kodi Augustus' AAU coach John Euery said the small forward would be committing to Arkansas at the ABCD camp in Teaneck, N.J., this afternoon, but after speaking with Razorback coaches those plans fell through.

"Arkansas wants to further evaluate Kodi," Euery told Rivals.com recruiting analyst Jerry Meyer. "We decided to open his recruitment back up. We want to go somewhere who loves us. If they don't love us than we don't want to do it. They should know by now how Kodi plays ball."
Euery said, Augustus, who is from Missouri City, Texas, is looking at a number of schools showing interest, including Tennessee, Mississippi State, LSU, Texas and Texas A&M. Arkansas is also still in the mix, but at the bottom of the list for now.
The 6-foot-8, 200-pound Augustus, who is ranked the No. 97 prospect in the class of 207, was originally a member of the class of 2006, but reclassified earlier this summer.
Meyer's scouting report on Augustus: "Preferring to play facing the basket, Augustus has a smooth shooting stroke and the length to shoot over defenders. Ball handling and passing skills need improving, tends to play too upright with the ball. Has the potential to be a good offensive rebounder but needs to get stronger. Relies more on his length than on foot speed as a defender."
