Diarra Visiting C-USA School

Konimba Diarra, the 6'10'' 230 pound big forward/center from Our Savior New American in Centerreach, New York, is checking out the campus of a Conference USA school this weekend.
Diarra is taking an official visit to South Florida. He had visited St. Joseph's officially two weekends ago. According to sources, both schools are strong for the native of Mali, particularly St. Joe's. Richmond also called recently to inquire.

Diarra is blessed with a sturdy frame and good athleticism. He runs the floor well, and impacts the game the most on the defensive end of the floor and on the glass. While he can knock down the occasional mid-range jumper, Konimba's offensive repertoire is still a work in progress.
Diarra suits up with The New York Elite AAU team, coached by Erik Jasklitsch and Chris Phillips. He recently competed at the Five Star event in Philadelphia. Diarra will likely lay low in terms of competition until his high school season, at this point.
Konimba still needs a qualifying SAT score, and will take the test again this fall. He still has some ground to make up on the test, but is within striking distance.
