Diarra Planning On 2 Visits

Konimba Diarra, a 6'10'' 240 lb power forward/center from Our Savior New American in Centereach, New York, has two trips lined up over the next two weekends.
Diarra will trek to Philly to check out St. Joseph's this weekend. The staff of the Atlantic 10 school have been on Diarra for a while, and have done an excellent job recruiting him.

Konimba will visit South Florida the following weekend.
Diarra played this summer with Bill Sisti's Minuteman Press, a program based on Long Island. He now competes with The New York Elite, coached by Chris Phillips and Erik Jaklitsch. Diarra attended the ABCD camp this summer.
Konimba, a native of Mali, is a lengthy pivot who runs the floor well and impacts the game defensively and on the glass. His offensive game needs some polish and is still a work in progress. His athleticism, wingspan, and ability to alter and block shots have made him a prospect a number of schools in the Northeast are keeping tabs on. Providence and Pitt were among the other schools to inquire about Diarra. At this juncture, St. Joe's and South Florida are best positioned to snatch up the developing big man.
Konimba still needs a qualifying SAT score. He will take the test again this fall.
