Diarra Lists 5 Schools
Konimba Diarra, a raw yet developing 6-9, 230 pound power forward/center from Our Savior New American School in Centereach, N.Y., told us he is looking at St. Joe's, South Florida, Hofstra, Stony Brook and Pittsburgh. Diarra said St. Joe's and South Florida are his top two but refused to rule out the other three schools on his list.
Diarra spoke to us from the Five Star event this past weekend in Philadelphia. He is still working on getting a qualifying SAT score.

Diarra has already had the chance to unofficially visit Stony Brook, Hofstra and St. Joe's.
Sylla is a player whose best basketball is clearly ahead of him. He's mobile, has a long frame which has the structure to support more size, and is still learning the game from an offensive standpoint. What he does well at this stage is rebounding and swatting shots.
Diarra averaged 10 points, 10 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game this past season at Our Savior. He wasn't sure where his GPA stands, but the Mali native said he fell short on his first attempt on the SAT exam this past year.
