Devin Smith Says Decision Soon

Devin Smith, a 6-5, 195 pound freshman shooting guard from Coffeyville C.C. in Coffeyville, Kan., said he expects to have a decision sometime this week. "I think I need another couple of days," Smith told us tonight. "I had three very good visits."
Smith said he got along with the players at each of the three schools. "The players were great at Kansas, Iowa and Virginia," Devin said. "I got along great with the head coaches and the assistants too."

Smith said it's going to be hard to make a decision. "It's going to be a gut decision," Smith said.
Smith will visit Iowa from Friday through Sunday (April 19th-21st) and finished up his trip to Virginia today.
Because he was a qualifier out of high school, Smith can leave Coffeyville after spending just one year at the junior college. All he needs to do is maintain a 2.0 GPA and transfer 24 credit hours into a Division I program in the fall.
JUCO Junction/Rivalshoops.com had the chance to catch Coffeyville seven times this season, and Smith showed marked improvement from December to March.
"I am going to think it over in the next two days," Devin said. "If I feel comfortable in a couple of days, I will call the coaches. Right now I am still thinking about it."
Smith said he has to figure out which school will fit him best regarding academics, social life, atmosphere, and playing time. "This is what I am thinking about right now," Devin said. "Once I can figure out that I will have my school."
