Detroit nails down Indianapolis duo

Players continue to fly off the board, and the Detroit Titans are the latest school to join the party. Head Coach Ray McCallum Sr. mined his native state of Indiana and locked down a pair of talented prospects on unofficial visits.
Throughout the summer Jordan Manuel proved that he is someone who could really shoot the ball at 6-foot-7. With long arms and a lot of athleticism, Manuel garnered high-major attention, and even had offers from some good mid-major teams, but at the end of the day it was Detroit that was able to snag his commitment.

Manuel played throughout the summer with the Eric Gordon All-Stars and teamed with Terone Johnson and Griffin McKenzie to have an excellent summer. The combo forward should be able to make an instant impact for the Horizon League squad.
Also on the unofficial visit with Manuel was 2011 point guard prospect Alvin Boutte. Boutte is a diminutive 5-foot-7 point guard who makes up for his lack of size with superior quickness. Also Boutte has the ability to make shots from deep, and also he is surprisingly good defender despite being small.
Both Boutte and Manuel go to Howe High School in Indianapolis. Manuel is a three star prospect who is the lone commitment to the Titans in 2010, and Boutte is also the first pledge to the school in 2011.
