Denver Big Man Coming On

If there is a player with an “upside,” it is 2005 prospect Sam Warren of Montbello High School in Denver, Colorado. Warren, whose father is 7-foot-1, began the season at 6-foot-8, and now he is 6-foot-10.
“He grows an inch a day,” said Montbello coach Fred Langley facetiously.

Colorado State has already offered the growing 210-pound center, and Texas Tech recently came to Denver to watch him play.
SMU, Pepperdine, Fresno State, and Colorado are also showing interest.
Warren’s numbers are nothing eye popping as he is averaging 7 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 blocks per game, but his potential for further growth and his developing skill level is attractive.
“He has really stepped it up the past three games,” said Coach Langley. “He is really working hard for us and improving day by day.”
