Deng Decision Ready To Be Made

It's a big day for Luol Deng, the talented 6-8 versatile recruit from Blair Academy. It's also a big day for his family. Deng's dad and his brother, Ajou, will sitis expected to be in the United States today to speak to his family about his recruiting process. Deng, who is down to Virginia, Indiana, Duke, and Missouri, is expected to officially announce his decision next week (Tuesday, November 5th) at a press conference.
"We are going to sit down and they are going to let me say where I want to go," Luol said. "Then when I say it ... if they have some slight disagreement with it they may ask me about the school, what about this, what about that...I think they will support me no matter what school I choose."

Deng indicated in his interview with RivalsHoops.com's Russ Blake that he is seriously going to consider his dad's and brother's opinion on his school of choice. So Deng, who is likely to have a school of choice in his mind by today, could have a solid pick by tonight, depending upon what his father and brother have to say.
"The relief is not here yet," Deng said. "I still got some thinking to do. But it's like running a marathon. You are almost there at the end of the line. It feels kind of good that I am almost there. I just have to concentrate this week and focus on my decision."
So this week is nervous time for Virginia, Indiana, Missouri and Duke. "I plan on calling the schools the night before," Deng said.
Our sources indicate that Duke and Indiana are neck and neck with Missouri and Virginia slightly behind the two schools. Deng could possibly be influenced more with the Hoosiers if Charlie Villanueva decides to take up the IU offer. This statement is based upon the family influence involved in the recruiting process and also concluded by our numerous conversations with contacts that know Luol.
However, as of this story being posted, Luol has not made up his mind nor has he spoken to his dad or brother today. We will keep you posted if the meeting does take place.
