Delks Impressed with Miss. St.

The Delk twins from Jackson Northside (Tenn.) High School took the first of what could be five official visits when they traveled to Mississippi State over the weekend. 6-foot-5, 175-pound point guard Richard Delk told Rivals.com that he and his brother, 6-foot-4, 170-pound shooting guard Reginald Delk came away impressed with the Bulldogs.
“It went pretty good,” said Richard Delk. “We saw the campus, hung out with some of the players, and watched the football game.”

Mississippi State is presumed to have the edge in recruiting the Delks, but Richard was hesitant in naming a leader with four more scheduled visits on the horizon.
“I don’t want to say Mississippi State is a leader before we take more visits,” said Richard Delk. “I do like them a little better after the visit because of the people down there and the coaching staff.”
According tho Coach Jeremy Shulman of the Midstate Ballerz, the Delks are scheduled to visit UAB next weekend, Auburn September 24, Ole Miss October 2, and Tennessee is last on the list. With Tennessee only looking for one other perimeter player in the class of 2005 after securing the commitment of Tyler Smith. It is very likely that the Delks will make a decision before ever visiting Tennessee. Jamont Gordon, who is now at Oak Hill Academy, is Tennessee’s top perimeter target, and the Delks are set on playing together in college.
Richard Delk is the No. 73 ranked player in the Rivals150, and Reginald Delk is the No. 81 ranked player in the Rivals150.
