DeCesare Takes Richmond Job

One of the best high school coaches in the country, Gary DeCesare, has taken an assistant's job at Richmond. "It was the right situation for myself and my family," DeCesare said. "I also feel Richmond can be a top 25 program."
This gives Richmond an "in" as far as recruiting in the New York City area. DeCesare, who coached St. Raymond's for 17 years, compiled a 286-142 record. This includes four NYC championships and two New York State championships.

DeCesare has had 28 players go to the division one level. His last, Louie McCroskey, committed to Syracuse last month. "I am going to miss St. Raymond's," DeCesare said. "But I am excited about joining Richmond. I will be back to New York to recruit players."
Richmond just got stronger today.
