DeCasas thinking about visits

Chad DeCasas is looking forward to taking the next step in his recruitment. The 6-foot-5, 205-pound shooting guard from Capistrano Valley High School in Mission Viejo, Calif., has scheduled two unofficial visits to LMU and San Diego within the next week or so. DeCasas indicated that he would like to take a number of visits in the fall before coming to a decision about his future.
"The head coach from LMU and the assistant coach from San Diego came to my school to visit with me," said DeCasas. "I have been invited to UCLA's elite camp in July, so that is something I am definitely going to do. I plan to take unofficial visits to LMU and San Diego within the next week or so.

"My dad and I have also been talking about taking some official visits in the fall," he added. "We have talked about visiting Colorado State, Minnesota and possibly Gonzaga. My AAU coach has talked to Mark Few several times, so Gonzaga is a school that I would love to visit."
DeCasas does not yet know if he will use all five official visits when the fall period rolls around. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard made it perfectly clear that he wants to make a decision before the start of his senior year of basketball.
"I really do not know if I will need to take all five visits," said DeCasas. "I do know that I will sign during the early period. I hope to have a decision made before the start of basketball. I want to enjoy my senior year of basketball, so I don't want any additional distractions.
"Once I take some visits and get a feel for some of the schools recruiting me, I will be able to make a decision about what school to attend," he added.
