Deberry is a big time addition for UWGB

At the University of Wisconsin Green Bay, it's not reasonable to expect Rivals150 players to sign on a yearly basis. But, the Phoenix have one coming in the class of 2014.
Back in May, three-star shooting guard Jerrelle Deberry offered up a commitment to Brian Wardle and his staff and he should make an instant impact.

A 6-foot-4 shooting guard who ranked No. 147 in the 2014 Rivals150 at the time of his commitment, Deberry is a skilled scoring machine.
During the first three years of his prep career at Milwaukee (Wisc.) Destiny, Deberry has put points on the board in about every way imaginable. He can shoot with range, he can create for himself off the dribble and he's an above average athlete who can finish at the rim in transition.
Maybe most importantly, Deberry's pick of UWGB could help open doors into Milwaukee. Players in the talent rich city could see a kid like Deberry heading to play for the Phoenix and realize that the chance to contribute heavily for a competitive team early outweighs going to the biggest name school possible.
Before arriving on campus Deberry will need to continue to add strength and he'll have to adjust his shot selection a bit. But, no matter how you look at it, he is a huge addition for the Phoenix.
