DA: Yes.
IR: With who?
DA: Oklahoma. I am going to sign on Friday (Nov. 16).
IR: Will you and your high school teammate at Midwest City Shelden Williams (Duke) sign on the same day?
DA: No, I think Shelden is going to sign on Wednesday (Nov. 14).
IR: Reportedly, you had expressed some doubt about your initial decision to commit to Oklahoma earlier this fall. Can you explain exactly what happened?
DA: OU used to play the style of ball where they would slow it down, but they've changed now. They have the athletes now to play fast paced. Plus my family had a lot to do with where I went. My mom is a single parent, and my brother is already at school [a JUCO] in Kansas. She did not want me to be far away from home, and she explained to me the reasons why I should stay here. Plus I feel I could go in there and start.
IR: Did you take any other official or unofficial visits this fall?
DA: I took an unofficial visit to Seton Hall.
IR: When did you come to the East Coast?
DA: I came to Midnight Madness [Gym Rats in Cherry Hill, NJ] to play in that game. I went there that Friday [Sept. 28].
IR: Was there anybody else that entered into the picture?
DA: Florida, but I did not go down there. But they entered into the picture. And Connecticut a little bit. Then they got Rashad Anderson.
IR: So when did you finally reaffirm your commitment to Oklahoma?
DA: I think it was on Saturday [Nov. 10].
IR: Where does Oklahoma see you fitting into their program?
DA: As a two guard, and possibly some time at the one.
IR: Who else are they looking to bring in there?
DA: Just me and Kevin Bookout. I think he is going to sign there too.
IR: What happened to Kelenna Azubuike?
DA: I don't think he is going there any more. I think he is going to Tulsa now.
IR: Where do you stand academically right now?
DA: I just need one point on the ACT. I am going to take it again on Dec. 8.
