Deane schedules another visit

After taking official visits to Stanford and Kansas, Daniel Deane is ready to take another step forward in his recruitment. The 6-foot-8, 225-pound power forward from Judge Memorial Catholic High School in Park City, Utah., is scheduled to take an official visit to Gonzaga this coming weekend. There is a chance that Deane, the No. 117 ranked player in the class of 2006, will make a decision shortly after he returns home from his visit to Gonzaga.
"My visit to Stanford two weeks ago went pretty well," said Deane. "I really had a pretty good time. I enjoyed spending time with the players and the coaching staff. I also enjoyed spending time on the campus and getting a feel for the school.

"My visit to Kansas this weekend was excellent," he added. "I had the opportunity to hang out with all of the players, and I spent time with the coaching staff. They let me know how much they wanted me to be a part of their program. I thought that everything was going to be flat, but it wasn't."
Now that Deane has taken two official visits, he is ready to take the next step in his recruitment. The No. 22 ranked power forward in the class indicated that he might be ready to make a decision about his future once he returns home from Gonzaga.
However, if Deane feels that he is not ready to end his recruitment, he will likely take one final official visit.
"I am going to take an official visit to Gonzaga next weekend," said Deane. "I might take another visit after that, but my visit next weekend will probably be the last.
"I feel that taking one or two more official visits will allow me to make the best decision possible," he added. "I might be ready to decide after my trip to Gonzaga, but if not, I will take another visit."
Aside from the aforementioned programs, Deane is also receiving a great deal of interest from the likes of Illinois, Marquette, Oregon, UCLA and Utah.
