Deane not ready to decide

After taking three official visits during the month of May, Daniel Deane is not yet ready to make a decision about his future. The 6-foot-8, 225-pound power forward from Judge Memorial Catholic High School in Park City, Utah., intends to take an unofficial visit to Utah in two weeks, and then an official visit to UCLA in the fall before selecting the school of choice.
"My visit to Gonzaga this weekend was great," said Deane. "I liked hanging out with all of the guys. Everybody was very cool with each other, which is something I really liked. I also had the opportunity to practice with the team, and felt that I did a good job out on the court. Coach (Mark) Few and I also spent quite a bit of time together. We did not talk about anything in particular. We just talked about the normal stuff."

Despite the fact that Deane, the No. 117 ranked player in the class of 2006, has taken three official visits during the month of May, he is not ready to make a decision about his future just yet.
Deane, the No. 117 ranked player in the class of 2006, plans to take one unofficial visit, and then an official visit in the fall, before making a decision about his future.
"I will probably take an official visit to UCLA," said Deane. "I don't really know when the visit will happen, but I would imagine that it will take place in the fall. I will be on the road with my AAU team during the next couple of weeks, so I do not think the visit will happen in the spring.
"I also plan to take an unofficial visit to Utah in two weeks," he added. "I want to get the chance to spend time with the guys at Utah, as I don't know them very much. I want to get up to the campus and play basketball with the guys on the team."
According to Deane, Kansas, Stanford, UCLA, Utah and Gonzaga are the five schools he is considering at this time. No leaders have emerged at this time, but he is looking forward to sitting down with his parents and talking about each of the schools.
