Yesterday, Sports America, Inc., announced the rosters for the 2002 Metro Classic which will be held next Wednesday (March 27th) at American University's Bender Arena. This is the first half of the reformatted Jordan Brand Capital Classic. This event features high school players from the Washington metropolitan area in a Suburban (Maryland/Virginia) vs. District (Inner High/Prep Privates) format. Previously this was a prelim for the Capital Classic.

This year's Capital Classic on Thursday, April 11, 2002 at the MCI Center will feature two games. The first contest is a United States All-Stars vs. Capital All-Stars match (roster) followed by the feature game involving top players from throughout the country (roster).

The Metro Classic girls game will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by the boys contest at 8:00 p.m.

Tickets prices for the Metro Classic are $10 for adults and $5 for students with ID. Those in attendance at the Metro Classic will receive a complimentary $17.50 ticket for the Jordan Brand Capital Classic as well. Tickets are now on sale for both events by calling local Ticketmaster outlets or visiting the web site at www.ticketmaster.com.
