Daye with top three after visit

Four-star 2007 prospect Austin Daye was very impressed with his unofficial visit to Gonzaga over the weekend, but the 6-foot-9, 184-pound small forward from Woodbridge High School in Irvine, Calif., was hesitant to name a leader in his recruitment.
Daye, the No. 83 ranked prospect in the Rivals150, does have Gonzaga in his top three along with Washington and Arizona State. All three schools have offered according to day.

Always having stated the importance of player development wherever he should attend college, Daye was impressed with the Gonzaga coaching staff.
"It was really nice there," said Daye. "At Gonzaga basketball is the biggest thing in town. All around, it was a very nice campus.
"The coaches are great, and they do a great job with player development."
A pure shooter with tremendous length for a wing player, Daye also has a great feel for the game. Getting stronger and tougher is the next step in his development.
"I'm working on my strength so I can guard the four, but still play the three," he said. "Although I'm a three, it would be to my advantage to also play the four."
Daye, who averaged 16 points and 9 rebounds per game as a junior, will be in action this weekend in Tucson, Ariz., at the inaugural Cactus Classic.
