Day Keeps Options Open

Dwayne Day, a 6-foot-4, 185-pound swingman who played last year at Vidalia (GA) High School, was listed on the roster last weekend as playing for Montgomery County in Mount Vernon, GA.
There was no confusion though regarding the quality of Day's play last weekend. Day competed this past weekend for the Atlanta Celtics, one of the country's more talented AAU teams, at the Three Stripes tournament in Neptune, New Jersey.

Day, due to the great amount of quality players on the Celtics, sometimes isn't the focal point of the Atlanta Celtics offense. The Celtics feature such players like Josh Smith, Randolph Morris, and Dwight Howard.
But Howard sat this past weekend and this allowed Day to shocase his offensive skills more. He showed the ability to slash to the basket and finish in transition.
"I want to help the team win games," Day said. "I am working hard on all parts of my game this summer. I just want to be a complete player. That's my focus this summer."
Day said he is wide open in his recruiting process. "Georgia, Florida, Florida State are some of the schools I am interested in," Day said.
Day previously mentioned schools like North Carolina, South Carolina, and Alabama. Day previously competed at the Rose City Showcase in Portland. Day is expected to play with the Celtics at the ADIDAS sponsored Las Vegas tournament next week. Day currently ranks #129 overall in the Rivals150.
