Davis High On Three Schools

There was a time when Mike Davis was planning to sign his letter-of-intent during the early signing period, but those plans have changed. The 6-foot-8, 215-pound small forward from Gordon Tech High School in Chicago, Ill., is seriously interested in three high major programs, but several other schools have started to show interest as of late. Because of these new developments, Davis has decided to take his time with the recruiting process.
“I would like to take a couple of visits in the fall,” Davis said. “Evansville, Santa Clara and Fresno State are the schools that I am seriously interested in. Those are definitely the three schools that I plan to officially visit this fall. All three schools have offered scholarships, and all three plan to visit me in my house.

“My high school coach told me that Florida State and DePaul are starting to show some interest, but Evansville, Santa Clara and Fresno State are the schools that I am seriously interested in,” he added. “I really don’t see myself taking more than three visits.”
While Davis made it perfectly clear that he does not intend to take more than three visits, the Illinois native indicated that he does plan to take his time with the process. Davis had originally planned to sign his letter-of-intent during the early signing period, but has since decided to reconsider all of his options.
“After talking to my high school coach, I have decided it would be best to sign during the late period,” Davis said. “I really want to look at all of my options, and I want to make sure that I focus all of my attention on my senior season. Like I said, I don’t plan to take more than three visits, but that might change after I spend time thinking about it.”
