Davis: Butch Still Considering 4

Ritchie Davis' Fox Valley Skillz head coach told RivalsHoops.com tonight that outstanding center Brian Butch, 7-0 and 217-pounds from Appleton West H.S. in Appleton, WI, has not decided on his school of choice. Davis, who coached Butch last summer in AAU competition, said Brian was still trying to figure out his school of choice. However, a source close to Butch told us today that Brian was going to play in the Big Ten for Wisconsin. "He hasn't made a decision," Davis said. "Brian is going to have a meeting and discuss it tonight. Then he is going to make some phone calls probably."
Butch, who was supposed to announce his decision on October 23rd, delayed his announcement due to an illness in his family. The good news is his family member is much better. Butch will now officially announce his school of choice tomorrow at a 1 PM ET, 12 Noon Central time press conference at his high school.

Davis told us that Butch is trying to decide between Wisconsin, Kansas, North Carolina, and Marquette. Arizona, previously involved in the recruiting process, dropped out after they landed big man Kirk Walters.
Butch is one of the best players in the 2003 class and a top notch big man who is agile and quick enough to make a living along the baseline. Butch can spot up from just about anywhere on the perimeter. Making Butch even more effective is his willingness to battle for every loose ball.
Last season as a junior, Butch averaged 21 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and three blocks per contest.
