Davin White Update
Davin White, a heady 6-1, 175 pound point guard from Chandler Gilbert C.C. in Chandler, Ariz., was one of the top prospects at last week's ACCAC Jamboree held at Scottsdale C.C. in Arizona.
White is a tremendous offensive threat off the dribble, where he can either finish consistently at the basket with his quick moves and athleticism, or penetrate the lane and dish off to teammates for easy baskets.

JUCO Junction/Rivalshoops.com caught up with Chandler Gilbert Head Coach Clement Chapman recently, and he told us that graduation will be a key issue for White.
White will not graduate until the summer of 2002 at the earliest, Chapman said. As a result, Division I schools have taken a cautious approach in recruiting White, since he is not a shoe-in to make it academically.
Fullerton State, San Jose State, Iowa State, Arizona State and Nevada-Reno are among 10-12 schools that have inquired about White this summer and fall, Chapman said.
"He's got to graduate and there is a question mark there," Chapman said. "He really won't finish until the summer at the earliest."
White needs 60 transferable credits to move on to a Division I school next fall. He earned has 24 so far, and is currently enrolled in 15, Chapman said.
If White fails to get it done by the summer, Chapman said there is a good chance that his star sophomore could go the Division II route, since he probably won't want to sit out a year.
Last season at Chandler Gilbert, White averaged 22.7 points, eight assists and three steals per game as a freshman.
A native of Phoenix, Ariz., White attended North H.S. prior to enrolling at Chandler Gilbert in the fall of 2000. He was one of the top prospects at last year's ACCAC Jamboree, and is clearly one of the more underrated point guard prospects on the national level in the JC Class of 2002.
White earned NJCAA Division II honorable mention acclaim last year, and he could be a first teamer this year if he is able to lead the Coyotes to the Division II crown in Region I.
