FORT MONMOUTH, NEW JERSEY -- For a second consecutive game, outstanding swingman David Teague did not play for Bridgton Academy in Maine.
Teague was scheduled to compete for Bridgton Academy against Brewster Academy of New Hampshire earlier this week. He was not in attendance. Teague was also not on the bench today for Bridgton Academy when it met Army Prep.

Sources tell us that Teague has been dismissed from the Bridgton Academy school and basketball program for breaking a team policy rule.
Rivalshoops.com recently had a chance to watch Teague in action at the St. Thomas More Invitational. Teague was terrific at the event. He scored 30 points in a tough loss to Worcester Academy of Massachusetts.
Teague is headed off to Purdue in 2002-2003. Teague is already qualified academically. So the dismissal won't affect him academically.
Teague picked Purdue after serious interest from Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Drake, Indiana State and Southern Illinois.
Teague is extremely fast from baseline to baseline and picks up a lot of cheap baskets in transition, where he simply beats defenders down the court. He has legitimate range out to three point land, so he can rack up points in a hurry.
Last season at Pike, Teague averaged 15.3 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals per game. He said he has a 3.0 core GPA and scored close to 900 on the SAT.
