David Padgett Talks About His Recruiting

David Padgett, a 6-11, 235-pound forward from Reno High School in Reno, Nevada, averaged 19 points, 13 rebounds, and almost five blocks per game last season as a sophomore.
"I think Padgett is going to be one of the top big men in the class of 2003," said Rivalshoops.com reporter Russ Blake. "This past summer he was exposed to a high caliber of competition, something he probably does not regularly face in his native Reno, Nevada."

Padgett told Jeff Goodman that he is currently interested in Arizona, Stanford, North Carolina, and UNLV. "I’m not ready to choose right now whether I’ll stay close to home or go far away," Padgett told Goodman.
"I like Arizona and Stanford a lot. They’ve been showing the most interest and those would be the two schools I would call my leaders, with UNC right behind."
Blake also added some thoughts on Padgett's game. "He is pretty skilled. He won't blow you away with his speed but he is big and takes up space. He has got some pretty good moves with his back to the basket. I think for these reasons he will be highly sought after."
