David Padgett Has High Majors After Him

David Padgett, a 6-11, 235-pound power forward/center from Reno High School in Reno, Nevada, is one of the best players in the 2003 class.
Padgett, who played last year at the ABCD camp in July, is having a great junior year. Padgett is averaging 25 points, 14 rebounds, and seven blocks per game. People are noticing Padgett's skills.

"I am trying to improve my perimeter game this season," David told us. "I want to be able to handle the ball better and shoot it better from the outside."
Padgett plays on a young team -- only one senior is aboard the roster this year. His team is currently 10-7. But positive things are expected in the next year of Padgett and Reno High School. Reno has been invited to the Slam Dunk to the Beach next December. And one of the reasons is Padgett.
"I am open in my process," Padgett said. "But with the new rules I will probably take some official visits in the spring. But I don't expect to make a decision until next Fall."
Padgett said he is really hearing from Arizona and Stanford a lot. "I am also interested in Kentucky, Kansas, North Carolina, UCLA, UNLV, and Indiana," Padgett said. "Oh, and also California is involved too."
Padgett said he also hears a little bit from Duke but not as much as the other schools. "I don't have a leader right now," Padgett said. "But Arizona and Stanford have been recruiting me the hardest."
