David Hilton Has Some D-1 Interest

David Hilton, a steady 5-11, 160 pound point guard who played last year at the University of Hawaii, is now enrolled at Chipola J.C. in Marianna, Fla.
Hilton, nicknamed "Jeep," averaged 2.4 points and 2.8 assists per game as a freshman last year for the Rainbow Warriors as Hawaii won the Western Athletic Conference Tournament and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.

He appeared in 22 of 31 games for Hawaii, who was knocked out of the NCAA Tournament in the opening round last fall by Syracuse.
Chipola Head Coach Ryan Cross is thrilled to have Hilton, a New York City native, in his backcourt for the 2001-2002 campaign. Cross feels that Hilton is a true point guard who can provide leadership and court awareness to his strong program.
Georgia Southern has been in thus far to evaluate Hilton, while Hofstra, Manhattan and East Carolina have all called to express an interest in recruiting him this winter.
Hilton will sign late and JUCO Junction/Rivalshoops.com will keep you posted on his recruitment in the coming months.
