David Bell Transfers

Philadelphia native David Bell was a major cog in Hunting Park's run to the adidas Big Time Tournament Final Four last week in Las Vegas, Nev.
Bell, a 6-7, 185 pound small forward/swingman from Olney H.S. in Philly, is slated to attend Mt. Zion Christian Academy in Durham, N.C. this year.

Bell told the Insiders Report that he is being eyeballed this summer by UMass, Xavier, Clemson, Miami, Providence, Villanova and Florida. He said that he has also had some preliminary conversations with North Carolina, and the Tar Heel staff is aware that David will be attending school on Tobacco Road this fall.
Bell is a versatile prospect who handles the ball well for big man. He is also an offensive threat slashing to the basket and shooting it from the perimeter, as he can go off the dribble very effectively.
At Olney H.S. this past season, Bell averaged 22 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, three steals and four blocks per game.
Bell said he has a 2.0 GPA and will need to significantly improve his SAT score in order to qualify academically.
Bell began a busy summer at the NBA Players Association Camp in Washington D.C., and then attended the Big Time Tournament and Best of the Summer with Gregory Wright's Hunting Park Warrior program.
With his academic situation currently unresolved, it will be interesting to see what programs offer Bell in the fall. IR will keep you posted.
