Dave Mallon Down To Three Schools

Dave Mallon, a 6-9 1/2, 210 pound power forward/center from East Aurora H.S. in East Aurora, N.Y., has chopped his list down to three schools this fall.
Mallon plans to sign early with one of those three schools -- Pittsburgh, St. Joseph's and Canisius. In fact, Mallon has decided to sign on Friday, Nov. 16, when he will publicly announce his intentions at East Aurora H.S.

Mallon has already visited Pittsburgh (Oct. 12-14), St. Joseph's (Sept. 27-29) and Canisius (Oct. 26-28).
"All three are pretty much equal right now," Mallon said. "Everyone has some factor that I really liked about their college. So it's a really tough decision. I am going to talk it over with my coach, my superintendent and my family before I make a decision."
Mallon displayed quite a bit of potential this past summer with Mickey Walker's Donyell Marshall Foundation program. While he has a thin frame for a big man, he has some skills facing the basket and will no doubt continue to get stronger and fill out his frame in coming years.
Mallon averaged 18 points, 13 rebounds, five assists and eight blocks per game as a junior at East Aurora.
He also holds an 88 average in the classroom and has scored a 1010 on the SAT. Some of his pit stops this past summer included the first session of the Eastern Invitational Basketball Clinic and the adidas Big Time Tournament.
Rivalshoops.com will keep you posted on Mallon's decision in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
