Dashawn Freeman Opens Eyes With His Play

Dashawn Freeman, a defensive minded 5-10, 160 pound point guard from St. Mary's H.S. in Berkeley, Calif., opened a lot of eyes with his solid play at the adidas Big Time Tournament last week.
Freeman, who played with Calvin Andrews' Oakland Slam N Jam program at the Big Time and Elite 8x2 Tournaments, is an excellent defensive player with quick hands and a knack for making difficult finishes on drives to the basket.

At last week's adidas Big Time Tournament, Freeman told the Insiders Report that he had been offered scholarships by Mississippi State, Pacific and St. Mary's (CA).
In addition to those programs, Freeman said he is also being recruited by San Diego State, Texas El Paso, Fullerton State, UC-Santa Barbara, Pepperdine and Cal-State Northridge.
Last season at St. Mary's, Freeman averaged 16 points, four rebounds, six assists and seven steals per contest.
Freeman said he holds a 2.7 GPA and scored an 850 on the SAT.
Prior to attending the Big Time and Elite 8x2 Tournaments, Freeman attended session one of the Pump's West Coast All-Star Camp.
