Dashawn Freeman Has Five Schools On List

Dashawn Freeman, a 5-10 160 pound ball hawking point guard from St. Mary's H.S. in Berkeley, Calif., said he is considering five schools this fall.
Freeman, who played well in July for Calvin Andrews' Oakland Slam N Jam program, has in-home visits set up with Sacramento State (Sept. 9) and UC-Riverside (Sept. 19).

In addition to that pair of programs, Freeman said he is also still in contact with Mississippi State, Cal State Northridge and Pacific.
Freeman has yet to set up any official visits, but said that he would prefer to attend a school whose campus is in or near a major city. Freeman lives in Oakland but attends school in Berkeley.
As a junior at St. Mary's, Freeman averaged 16 points, four rebounds, six assists and seven steals per game. He said he has a 2.7 GPA and scored past the 820 barrier on the SAT exam.
A solid floor general who specializes in picking the pockets of other guards, Freeman played in one session of the Pump West Coast All-Star Camp. He then attended the adidas Big Time Tournament with SNJ, and ended the summer at the Elite 8x2 Tournament in Berkeley.
