Daryl Jacobs Makes A Move

Daryl Jacobs, a 6-10, 225 pound center from Buffalo, N.Y., is not headed to prep school this fall.
Jacobs, who had orally committed to Pittsburgh this past spring with the intention of attending Maine Central Institute in Pittsfield, Me., has instead enrolled at Cochise J.C. in Douglas, Ariz.

JUCO Junction/Rivalshoops.com has confirmed this with Cochise Head Coach Jerry Carrillo.
"We are not sure if Daryl is going to play this year," Carrillo said. "We might redshirt him."
Jacobs is down at the school trying to earn his GED, which he must earn before he becomes eligible to play at an NJCAA school.
As for Jacobs' future, it appears he will still attend Pitt after his stint in junior college.
"That's the plan," Carrillo said. "Pittsburgh says that they want him, and he loves them. They've done a great job recruiting them and he talks about them all of the time. He knows Julius Page and their one assistant, Curtis Aiken, is from Pittsburgh."
