Darius Manciel Update

Darius Manciel, a 6-10 power forward/center from Detroit, Mich., who signed with TCU last fall, is currently enrolled as a part-time student at Weatherford J.C. in Weatherford, Tex.
"He's a part-time student right now who is waiting to take the test one more time," Weatherford Head Coach Mark Osina told JUCO Junction/Rivalshoops.com. "If he makes the test, he will enroll at TCU in January, and if he does not make it, we'll get him full-time here."

If Manciel does not make the test score and is able to pass 12 credit hours at Weatherford, he could join the Coyotes in January.
Of course, there are many different scenarios that could play out, Osina explained.
"If he makes it, he might go to TCU at the semester, or he could stay here and play a year," he said. "I don't know if he can go in there and play for him at the semester."
Manciel attended the Winchendon School in Massachusetts last year, but only attained partial qualifier status. He previously attended high school in Detroit, Mich., and initially signed with TCU in the spring of 2000.
JUCO Junction/Rivalshoops.com will keep you posted on Manciel's progress toward qualifying, so stay tuned!
