Dantzler Will Help Terriers

St. Francis (NY) picked up Sean Dantzler in the early signing period (photo), and the 6-3 shooting guard from Neosho County C.C. in Chanute, Kan., should help the Terriers with his perimeter marksmanship next winter.
A native of the Bronx, N.Y., Dantzler is another quality JUCO pickup for the Northeast Conference program. The Terriers have a pair of seniors with JUCO backgrounds -- 6-8 forward Chris Sockwell and 6-2 guard Bronski Dockery -- who have played significant roles for the program.

Dantzler averaged 23.0 points, 12.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game as a senior at Christopher Columbus High School and was named to the Wendy’s All-Star Classic which features New York All-Stars vs. Chicago All-Stars.
Dantzler is most well known for his long distance shooting acumen. In a recent victory over Brown Mackie College at the Jayhawk Shootout, he hit a pair of consecutive three point buckets as the Panthers outdistanced the Lions in the second half on the way to an 81-48 victory.
"Sean has gotten a lot tougher and has really matured as a player this year," Neosho Head Coach Craig Fletchall said. "Last year, when he would miss a shot, he would let it affect his play, but this year, he has learned to put it behind him and keep himself in the game."
Dantzler is expected to graduate in the spring.
Rivalshoops.com hopes to catch Neosho County again later this winter, and if we do, we will keep you posted on Dantzler's progress.
