Dannaro Thomas looking south

As the spring signing period nears, Mt. Zion wing player Dannero Thomas from New Orleans, La., is down to two ACC schools. One of those schools is in pretty good shape with Thomas, as it looks likes he will be heading south for college.
"Dannero really likes Miami and Virginia Tech," said Mt. Zion head coach Antonio Fozard. "Miami is on him the hardest right now, and they are his leader. In fact, there is a chance that something could happen this week."

Always a player with a nose for the ball and a will to win, Thomas, 6-foot-5, 190-pounds, has really helped his stock over the past year by becoming a much better shooter.
"Dannero is a heck of a ball player," said Fozard. "He's a good defender. He shoots the heck out of the ball. And he is a big time rebounder.
"Given the right situation, he can contribute right away in the ACC."
On the season, Thomas averaged 15 points, 5 rebounds and 2 steals per game for the 25-10 Mt. Zion squad.
Dannero Thomas scouting report:
A tough competitor, Thomas has a knack for coming up with rebounds and loose balls. He is a tough defender, and on the offensive end, he has become a consistent shooter from the arc. His mid-range jumper is solid as well. His ball handling and passing have room for improvement.
