Dandridge Makes Mizzou Happy
Considered one of the better shooters in the class of 2004, Glen Dandridge was highly recruited this past summer. "I considered Virginia, Texas, and Clemson too," said Dandridge, 6-foot-6. "But I felt very comfortable with the Missouri coaching staff."
Dandridge committed last night to Missouri after taking a visit to the campus this past weekend. "I liked everything about the visit," said Dandridge, who is looking to add some strength and pounds to his current 205-pound frame.
Dandridge is heading back to school today to Mount Zion Christian Academy in Durham, North Carolina. Mount Zion plays a tough schedule each year and Dandridge hopes to improve in his individual game before he plays for Missouri in 2004-2005.
"I want to be a complete player," Dandridge said. "I think I can help them with my athleticism. I can get up and down the court a lot."
Glen, who averaged 16 points a game last season at Mount Zion, said the Missouri staff was very clear about his role. "They want me to help with their perimeter scoring," he said. "I can certainly do that."
He can. It's why Mizzou along with several other high profile programs worked hard to receive a verbal commitment. The Tigers won this important recruiting battle for one of the best long-range shooters in the 2004 class.
