Dan Grunfeld Makes Decision

Dan Grunfeld, a rock-solid 6-5, 190 pound swingman from Nicolet H.S. in Glendale, Wis., committed to Stanford, according to his high school coach, Paul Hepp.
"Dan really loved his visit to Stanford," Hepp told us tonight. "He will fit in nicely at Stanford."

Hepp said Grunfeld (pictured right) will provide several things to the Stanford program. "He will be a deadly shooter from three point line on the college level," Grunfeld said. "He can also score from anywhere on the floor."
Grunfeld had told us he was really focusing in on Wisconsin and Stanford. At the Best of the Summer Tournament, Grunfeld also said he has been offered scholarships by Utah, Tennessee, Northwestern and Wisconsin.
For Grunfeld, that should not be a problem. He is in the top five percent of his class at Nicolet, and has scored a 1280 on the SAT and a 30 on the ACT.
As a junior at Nicolet, Grunfeld averaged 17 points, six rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block per game.
Grunfeld erupted last week at the adidas Big Time Tournament in a 45-point outburst during pool play. It was the top offensive performance during the humongous 344 team tournament.
Possessing an excellent feel for the game and lights out shooting ability, Grunfeld kicked off the summer at the adidas ABCD Camp, and then attended both the adidas Big Time and Best of Summer Tournaments with FOH Wisconsin #1.
