Damion Grant Sits Out

NEW HAMPTON, NEW HAMPSHIRE -- Damion Grant, a developing 7-1, 245-pound center from Brewster Academy in New Hampshire, sat out tonight due to a deep, tissue bruise in his thigh.
Grant collided last night with Winchendon center Martin Iti in the opening round of the New Hampton Prep tournament. Grant did not play in tonight's consolation game against New Hampton Prep, a game Brewster lost, 77-71. Grant did support his team tonight by sitting on the bench and cheering for his teammates.

Grant said he is unsure of when he will be able to return to action. He is likely to have the thigh examined again by a doctor before he returns to action.
Grant has given a verbal commitment to the Tar Heels of North Carolina. He will sign a letter of intent with North Carolina in the spring.
