Dallas Hunter makes decision

One of the top prospects in Texas, Dallas Hunter from Plano East High School, enjoyed a solid summer AAU season with the Dallas Hoops Dreams and as a result earned offers from three high major programs.
Last night Hunter a 6-foot-5, 200-pounds small forward ended his recruitment when TCU head coach Neil Dougherty visited him for an in-home visit and he committed to the Horned Frogs.

“Dallas was really impressed with Coach Dougherty and before he left he decided to give him a commitment,” Dallas’ dad Rick Hunter said. “He is really excited about the direction of the program and he felt comfortable with the staff.
“Coach Dougherty did a nice job of recruiting Dallas and they had a strong bond. He has the chance to go in as a freshman and play early.
“TCU is an up-and-coming program and they are putting together an exciting team. Also, as a father I’m glad because Dallas won’t be far from home we’ll get the chance to see him play all four years.”
Hunter averaged 18 points and seven rebounds as a junior.
Rivals.com-Basketball scouting report:
Hunter has nice size and strength as a wing player. He has a solid outside jumpshot but he is capable of putting the ball on the floor and getting to the basket. He rebounds his position well and while he doesn’t standout in any one aspect on the court he is solid in all phases of the game.
