CSIs Tony Bobbitt Makes Decision

Tony Bobbitt, an ultra talented 6-4 shooting guard from the College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls, Idaho, committed to Cincinnati today, according to CSI assistant coach Jay Cyriac.
Bearcats Head Coach Bob Huggins was out at Southern Idaho on January 2nd to watch the Golden Eagles play against an All Star team.

A tremendously gifted offensive player, Bobbitt had committed to Florida State out of high school in Daytona Beach, Fla. He attended the same high school as current Toronto Raptor Vince Carter, which is Mainland H.S. in Daytona Beach.
Bobbitt failed to qualify out of Mainland, and headed off to prep school in Virginia for the 1999-2000 school year. However, he did not last more than a month in prep school, and transferred to Tallahassee C.C. in Florida, where he was unable to earn his GED.
Bobbitt resurfaced last fall at CSI, where he was able to earn his GED. He played last season for the Golden Eagles, and averaged 10.4 points and 3.2 rebounds per game on a deep and sophomore laden team.
According to Cyriac, Florida State and Cincinnati were the most serious suitors for Bobbitt. Cyriac also said that Cincinnati solidified the commitment by coming out to Idaho to watch Tony play against a team they beat by 60 points. "To take a day off with a game on Saturday to come out here meant a lot to Tony," Cyriac said. "Cincinnati is a great program. The attraction was also the amount of NBA players Bob Huggins has produced at Cincinnati. The playing time is available too."
Iowa State, Oklahoma State, Florida State, and Minnesota were also considered.
What makes Bobbitt so difficult to defend is his unlimited range from beyond the three point arc, excellent size and ball handling skills plus athleticism. He truly has the total offensive package and is very dangerous in CSI's up tempo style of play.
