Criswell Sorting through his Recruitment

Kansas City native Leo Criswell is now at Coastal Christian Academy in Virginia Beach, Va., where he will play his senior season. The 6-foot-8, 200-pound combo forward and the No. 101 ranked player in the Rivals150 has one visit scheduled at this point and is very open to other schools recruiting him.
“I really like it here,” said Criswell about his move to Virginia Beach. “I heard about the good coaching here, and it’s a good environment with good people to be around.

“I am really learning about the little things here, like footwork, getting a higher release on my shot, and ball handling.”
When it came to his recruitment, Criswell, who has qualified, was hesitant to name a list of schools, but he eventually came around to talking about some of the schools that are recruiting him.
“I don’t want to list schools,” he said. “Every time I do that, I end up losing schools. I want everyone to know that I am wide open. It seems like since I came here, I have lost contact with schools, too.
“I do have a visit to Missouri schedule, but I am not sure on the date. Coach Roberts was recruiting me when he was at Kansas, so now I am looking into visiting St. John’s. UCLA wants me to visit, and I am considering that. I am also interested in UNLV, but nowhere close to committing there like someone wrote. I have also talked to Indiana and Oklahoma but have not talked to them recently.”
A very good athlete with a high-major body, Criswell can do damage both inside and outside. His skill level as a small forward is developing. If he stretches his range and improves his ball handling, he should be a high-impact player on the high-major level.
