Craig Smith Recovers From Benching

SMITHFIELD, RHODE ISLAND -- There was something missing from Worcester Academy's first half battle against Our Savior New American. And most on press row only realized it when the first half ended -- Worcester's big man and big gun Craig Smith had not played one second.
"It was a coaching decision," Worcester head coach Mo Cassara said after his team knocked off a talented Our Savior New American team. "It was a team policy situation. That's all I will say about it."

Smith, a 6-8, 225-pound forward, has had a great year for Worcester Academy. He has been one of the main offensive weapons for Cassara's team. Smith was moved off the bench in the second half. He scored 12 points in about 10 minutes of play.
Smith is head to Boston College next season and should be an impact player right away for the Eagles. He is smart with the ball in the low post and is one of the few big men in the 2002 class that can seal his man to make the entry pass easier for his guards.
