Cothron still looking

Is Red Springs (N.C.) Flora Macdonald Academy's Luke Cothron committed or not committed to North Carolina State? That is still the question, and that is why the four-star forward is considered a soft verbal.
"Luke is committed, but he is looking around at other schools," Cothron's mentor and former travel team coach told Rivals.com. "He just feels that NC State is sort of a shaky situation with the rumors that Coach Lowe might not be there next year.

"He also feels like he jumped into his commitment and didn't really see the recruiting process. That is why he wanted to wait till the spring."
Plenty of schools are showing interest in Cothron, who is the No. 33 ranked prospect in the Rivals150.
Williams listed Kentucky, Alabama, Miami, Tennessee, Florida, West Virginia and Texas A&M as schools of interest for the 6-foot-8, 210-pound Cothron, who is originally from Huntsville, Ala.
"He'll take a couple of visits after the season to make sure NC State is the right place," said Williams. "He definitely wants to visit Texas A&M and of course Alabama. He'd also like to visit Kentucky with the way Demarcus Cousins is playing so well. With Cousins and (Patrick) Paterson both leaving, there would be a great opportunity there for him."
Cothron is averaging 29 points, 18 rebounds and four blocks per game this year.
