Cornhuskers add Canadian wing

After making a visiting Nebraska a couple of weeks ago, Toronto, Ontario native Kris Douse made a verbal commitment to the Big 12 program.
The 6-foot-7, 215-pound small forward is spending a year at the prestigious IMG Academy in Pendleton, Fla., this season and fine tuning his skills before heading off this summer to play for Barry Collier's program.

"I was at the Kansas game and checked it all out. It was great. They were chanting my name at the game. That made me feel really welcome," Douse said. "I knew right then that I wanted to be a Cornhusker."
Douse is having a solid season in the Sunshine State, averaging 13 points and 6.5 rebounds for IMG. He hopes his size and versatility can help right away.
"I want to come in and do everything I can to be productive," Douse said. "They are losing two senior wings, so hopefully I can come in and fill a big role. That is a combined 25 points and eight rebounds that they are losing so I feel like I can produce."
Douse also considered Providence, Miami and Rhode Island.
