Wilmington (Del.) Sanford 2011 shooting guard Trevor Cooney ended his recruitment on Friday with a commitment to Syracuse.
The Rivals150 member made the call for the Orange because of reasons both on the court and off.

"I just thought I had the best relationship with the coaches at Syracuse. I think I can get better at basketball and get the education I want there," Cooney said.
Cooney wants to major in Syracuse's well known communications program and he said that played in a role in his decision to select Jim Boeheim's program over finalists Notre Dame, West Virginia, and Maryland.
On the court, Cooney says his skills can be utilized well in the Syracuse system.
"How they play fits me well," he said. "The coaches get players better. I've watched them a lot lately and I think I can play the role that Andy Rautins plays where I run the floor and get the ball and come off screens and score."
Cooney has visited each of the four schools that comprised his finalists.
He's averaging 21 points and 10 rebounds this season as a junior.
Cooney is the 29th ranked shooting guard in the 2011 class.
