Cook Changes Schools

Mike Cook, a 6-2, 215-pound scoring wing who played last season at Friends Central H.S. in Wynnewood, Penn., is likely to play at New Hampton Prep in New Hampshire this season.
Cook is a scorer. The burly swingman is a very good athlete who scores effectively around the basket and via midrange jumpers.

Providence, UMass and East Carolina expressed interest last spring in Cook. If he has a great year, he is likely to see that list expand. Playing alongside RivalsHoops.com's number 27 rising senior Mustafa Shakur and New Hampshire's incoming freshman Shedjie Childs in the backcourt, Cook averaged 19 points, eight rebounds and five assists per game this past season at Friends Central.
Cook has opted to attend prep school to correct some academic problems. If he does that, it's likely that he will become a hot commodity again on the recruiting circuit this fall. And if Cook develops a consistent three point shot, it will only be that much tougher for opponents to stop him.
