Commitment Coming from Dollard

Erroneous reports have surfaced recently that three-star prospect Josh Dollard had committed to Auburn. The 6-foot-8, 210-pound combo forward out of Prince Avenue Prep in Hemingway, S.C., however, insisted that he is not committed. Nonetheless, he might very well end up a Tiger, since they are his definite favorite.
“I haven’t committed yet,” Dollard told Rivals.com on Wednesday. “I’m down to Auburn, Tennessee, and Virginia Tech, but I’m leaning towards Auburn.”

Despite having a visit scheduled for Tennessee on October 23, Dollard is planning to make a decision at the beginning of next week.
“I plan on making my decision on Monday,” he said. “I have a press conference scheduled at my school.”
Perhaps the drama in this situation is based on Auburn wanting Dollard to hold off on an official decision until their top forward priority Korvotney Barber visits Kentucky this weekend. Barber is expected to decide between Auburn and Kentucky. With the recent commitment of one ranked power forward in Joey Cameron, Auburn would not want to give the Wildcats a recruiting advantage during Barber’s visit with the commitment of another big forward.
Auburn does have multiple roster spots to fill while Kentucky is looking to fill one spot unless there is a shake up in the roster. Kentucky power forward priorities behind their number one priority Barber are Uche Echefu and Curtis Brown.
