Combo Forward Needs Hot Summer

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VIRGINIA -- Dante Milligan, a 6-8, 200 pound combination/power forward from Trinity Pawling H.S. in Pawling, N.Y., played this past weekend for the CAS Warriors. Milligan's size and strength helped the Warriors stun a talented Fairfax Stars team at the Southern Invitational this past weekend.
Milligan does have nice size and appears to be very agile. If he has a very good summer, it's likely he will get some high division one offers. He told us that George Washington, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Virginia, Connecticut, Georgetown, Providence, St. John's, Stanford and Siena are all high on his list.

Whether or not those programs seriously recruit Milligan come the fall will depend upon whether he has a good summer. Milligan needs to showcase his skills but also needs to make a statement that he can bang inside and utilize his size.
A long and lanky forward who is an effective rebounder, Milligan likes to float out to the wing and face the basket, suggesting that he could be a three man down the road. But coaches are likely to watch Milligan and see if he has the ability to challenge big bodies inside.
This past season for Bill Casson's Trinity Pawling program, Milligan averaged 16 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and four blocks per game.
A solid student in the classroom, Milligan said he has a 3.5 GPA.
